The Apnea Risk Evaluation System (ARES™) is a leading FDA cleared medical device used to diagnose patients with obstructive sleep apnea in the comfort of their homes. Because ARES enables patients to undergo testing outside of a clinical environment, we enjoy a higher success and patient satisfaction rate than traditional testing methods.
Watermark Medical offers a comprehensive screening questionnaire to determine which patients may be at risk for OSA and qualify for our ARES™ home sleep testing solution. The ARES home sleep test is not approved for children under 16 years of age.
The ARES device has been validated against traditional in-lab polysomnography testing methods in six publications and featured in over fifteen peer-reviewed articles, proving to be highly effective. ARES measures nine channels of data that help determine the presence and severity of obstructive sleep apnea - Airflow, Snoring, Pulse Oximetry, Heart Rate, EEG, EOG, EMG, Head Position, and Head Movement.
What sets Watermark Medical apart from other dentist home sleep testing providers is our broad network of medical professionals, including a national network of qualified sleep physicians. After the sleep study is completed, a board-certified sleep physician will interpret the test results and provide a summary report including a patient diagnosis and recommended treatment options, if applicable.
Medicare and commercial insurance do reimburse for the ARES home sleep test. Because insurance coverage varies from patient to patient, we always recommend checking with your insurance provider.
Watermark Medical offers specialized training to use the ARES device. We will contact your office to set up training. We proudly offer a strong support team and field representatives as resources for you and your staff.
